How It Works
Attending SAA meetings starts us on a new way of life. But while the SAA fellowship supports our recovery, the actual work of recovery is described in the Twelve Steps. Meetings are forums for learning how to integrate the steps into our lives. Working the Twelve Steps leads to a spiritual transformation that results in sustainable relief from our addiction.

Meetings
SAA meetings are free and are run by its members. "Members" include anyone with a desire to stop unwanted sexual behavior, there is no other requirement. Anyone attending their first SAA meeting will be greeted by experienced members, introducing our program and answering questions.
Literature
While meetings are extremely important part of a recovery program, one cannot be in a meeting every hour of every day. Having program literature available is like having a meeting whenever you pick up a book, brochure, or pamphlet. Browsing any local or online bookstore will reveal a plethora of titles on the subject.
Our International Service Organization has published a list of SAA Conference-Approved Literature ; anything on the list is available for purchase. Most meetings carry pamphlets for at cost or free, while some meetings have books for sale.
